If
you assumed CFTS does not build filament wound tubing you are
correct. We've purchased several lots of tubing remnants from
some of our friends in the industry. Filament wound tubing
works well in applications involving torsional loads or internal
pressures. Below you will find basic details about each type

Oval High Temp Tubing Available
in two sizes this amazing looking carbon tubing is wound using
a 350f epoxy resin system. The wall thickness is .040-.050".
It features a smooth ID and cello finish glossy outer. This

Filament Wound Carbon Tubing This tube is made of 100% carbon fiber/standard temp epoxy. The winding schedule was designed to withstand internal pressure application. It features a smooth peel ply finish on the OD and smooth ID. The wall thickness is .092-.095". See close up pics here Call for quantity pricing. Filament Wound & Wrapped Carbon Tubing This tube is made of 100% carbon fiber/standard temp epoxy. This tube is laid up as a thin walled roll wrapped tube. Once cured this tube is prepped and filament wound around the roll wrapped core. This method of construction creates a tube that combines the characteristics of a roll wrapped tube (bending stiffness) and the characteristics of a filament wound tube (torsional or internal pressure loads). The wall thickness is .147"-.157". See close up pics here *These tubes have a very slight curve to them over the full 95" length. We have discounted this tubing due to this slight defect.
